Photography Under Fire was an art installation that was showcased simultaneously in the bustling cities of Tel Aviv and New York. The installation was displayed on the facade of the Tel Aviv Museum building and on giant screens in Times Square in collaboration with the Charney Resolution Center and ZAZ10TS cultural initiative.
Marking one year after war broke out in Ukraine, the installation featured dozens of photographs by Israeli photographer Ziv Koren, which revealed shocking and harrowing scenes from the horrors of the war. The images capture the human toll of conflict and expose the devastating impact on individuals and communities caught in the crossfire.
The installation aims to raise awareness about the impact of war and the importance of peacebuilding efforts. By showcasing the photographs in two major cities, the exhibition hopes to spark conversations and dialogue about the ongoing conflicts and the need for peaceful solutions.
Through this collaboration between the Charney Resolution Center, ZAZ10TS cultural initiative, and the Tel Aviv Museum, the art installation creates a platform for dialogue and reflection, encouraging viewers to contemplate the impact of war and the role of art in promoting peace.
